Shweta is a passionate human rights and gender equity advocate, with vast knowledge and experience in driving community-led initiatives. She currently works at GenWest, a place-based women’s health service as Manager -Resilient communities focussing on prevention of gender-based violence, health education and impact of climate change for communities across the west that are at higher risk of discrimination and gendered oppression. Since 2022, her team at GenWest has been running Our Community, Our Voice, a flood resilience and recovery program that supports refugee and migrant women and their families affected by the 2022 floods in Maribyrnong.
