Pete Williams was instrumental in the community-led recovery efforts supporting family and the broader community in Flowerdale during the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires. He chaired the East Gippsland CRC Link-Up, supporting the work of Community Recovery Committees after the Summer Fires, an accountant and has worked on the Australian Business Roundtable paper on the Economic Impacts of Disaster: https://australianbusinessroundtable.com.au/our-research and last, but not least, Pete is also a founding member of the DisasterWISE Communities Network.
